Thanksgiving 2010

Well as another holiday closes for the night, I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday!!!

This year we did a few things different. Instead of running around with our heads cut off, mom and my kids, and I went to mom's house yesterday and baked the pies, cookies, rolls and got together the food stuffs that were to be eaten today. That left the turkey, dressing, taters and a few other wonderful foods for today. This made both my mom and I, relaxed and a little out of sorts because we are so used to being busy the mornings of the holidays. It was a really different feeling to us to relax. Why in the world we didn't think of doing some of the baking and stuff the day before, we'll never know. However, now that we were able to do that, we will be continuing on for all the holidays to come.

This year the company included: Mom and Papa, Grandpa Don, Chris and I and our two kids, Sarah and Max and their three kids. 12 total were able to make the fantastic time at mom and papa's fun and so yummy.

After everyone ate their fill, the kids headed to the livingroom to hang out and play some DS games. The rest of us adults stayed in the big room to visit. Everyone had a great time. There was lots of laughter and lots of love spread for all. After awhile we all went to the tv room and sat on the chairs and floor in front of the fireplace and kept right on visiting.

Finally it was time for each of us to go home. Amongst packing up all the kids and the stuff everyone brought, we all had our share of the left overs that will last through tomorrow. Whom ever said that Thanksgiving food was meant for just one day, didn't have a clue.

I truly hope that everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends.

Till later...
