I have lots more projects to be completed. My husband Chris wants me to finish them before starting new projects. Of course that isn't working. If there are many projects waiting to be finished, then I can never be at a loss of what to do.... I love doing hand made crafts.
This was my first attempt at making a Granny Square Afghan. It took me a little over a year to make. It turned out to be big enough for a King sized bed. I made it larger then the bed because during the night, I'd end up not having any covers and be cold. This afghan is very heavy and very warm. I designed this one to alternate solid blocks from multi-colored blocks all outlined in black. I've seen them done where instead of the black, there have been other colors, but using black for the outlines, makes the afghan appear to be similar to a stained glass window.

These Halloween images were found in one of the many craft magazines I have. The originals were made into wall hangings. It was around Halloween when I decided that they'd be cute on sweatshirts. The pieces are fused together, then fused onto a black sweatshirt. I again used (my favorite writing tool) silver glitter paint for the lettering. On the picture with the moon and pumpkin, I used different colored glitter paints to highlight some of the designs. Cute Huh?
One Christmas I decided to make some home made gifts. All my nieces kids, sister and my mom received Christmas Aprons. Each had their names painted in Silver Glitter Paint. My niece Sierra is holding a mixing bowl with all the fixings to make brownies. They loved them. I know that when cooking, the girls wear theres still.
Their names are (in order) Maxine, Sierra, my sister Sarah, and my niece Tianna.
Here we are. Samantha, Alex, my husband Chris and I all sporting our new robes. I wanted a long robe and at the time the only robes I saw were ones that stopped at the knee. Each of us picked out our own material and went to work. They are nice and long, warm, and the best part is that they don't shrink.
These are my kids, Alex and Samantha, sporting their headbands. I took some of their robe material and whipped these up. I also made some for my nieces. They are so simple and the kids wore them all Christmas day.

This is the start of another quilt I have going. This quilt came to me in a dream of sorts. I don't remember the dream, but the quilt stayed in my mind. The "brownish" color resembles the look of "dust bunnies" with the pink for a contrasting color. I'm having troubles finding the right color for the back and borders. One time I look at the blocks, I see the blocks back to back. Another time I look at the blocks, I see them framed in. Difficult to choose. This will also fit a queen sized bed.
This one is my first attempt at an Adirondack afghan. Its a pretty easy design. This one is for a queen sized bed or just to wrap up in on a cold day. This afghan is a great way to use up little balls of yarn. There are no set "rules" to how wide each strip is, or the stripes. I've made 4 now and am busy working on number 5.
This is another quilt that I'm making for my mom. It's another Christmas quilt. The funny thing about this quilt is that each time I tried to work on it, it would be difficult leaving me to put it away and wait for "permission" from it to work on it. It's not quite full sized. I've been looking for just the right Christmas material to finish it up.
This is a Christmas quilt that my sister, Sarah and I made for our mom. It was our first attempt to work together on a project. We had a good time. The hard part was trying to figure out the layout. We knew that we wanted the "Old World" Santa in the center and the Norman Rockwell prints on the corners. It is truly loved and comes out every Christmas to be enjoyed.... I think we made this one in 1997.
