Well the dogs and I just got back home from our 2 mile walk around town and back. It takes us about 30 minutes at a slow pace for our route. We saw a few people outside, and one person that used to be my neighbor with her little dog. Sophie and Chance were pretty excited to see another little dog. Chance decided that one little dog around him was enough. Sophie on the other hand was so excited to see and smell another little dog that she rolled onto her back so that the other dog could smell her. My ex-neighbor thought Sophie was going to be mean to her little dog, but then Sophie insisted that her little dog smell her. It was pretty funny.
The weather is wonderful and once the kids get home they (unwillingly) will be helping me to finish raking our yard. We had just one section left to do. It's the worst spot in the yard. It's where Chance goes to do his business, but it has to be done before the grass really starts growing. Most of my flowers are up. The day lilies are about 6-10" in the round garden and only about 4-6" up in the square garden. My iris's are all up and are about the same size. I have chives that are really going and soon look to be heading out with their first flowers. As we were taking our walk, there were other gardens that look to be about the same in height with mine. There is one lady that really takes pride in her garden. She's been working her soil already and looks really nice. There was a lady last year that just put in a wonderful split rail fence with flowers all around it. Last year it was the envy of many of my neighbors. This year, the place is up for sale. I don't know how big the house really is. There are no flyers of the house out to see, but if you had little kids that wanted to go to school here in town, this house is about 2 or 3 blocks from the elementary school. Cute house and grounds for sure.
Till later................
