Today I started working on making home made crafts to build an inventory of items and try my luck on etsy.com. I am excited at giving it a try. The problem is that I have so many ideas of stuff to make, that I am finding it hard to settle down and just start on one item. My goal is to have 50 of what ever I make by the end of Feb. There are many people selling stuff on the site that only have one of an item. My thought is that if your going to try your hand selling stuff online, than it only makes sense to have multiple items. That way many people can order things.
The only project I tried out today was to make a Christmas Doily. Red, White and Green. It's cute. It's really easy to make, and once you get started on them, its easy to turn out many in a day. I also have two pot holders made. I made them the other day. I hope to make some beaded ornaments. That depends on if I can find my stash of beads.
My mom and I are making things to put on the site and see what happens. We really hope it does well. Every day I look at the site to see what people are putting up and the prices they want. I hope to have pictures up soon too.
Well my husband Chris has had a real adventure. He started this new job at a restaurant about a month ago. The FORMER management decided that he wasn't paying any of his employees. He would come up with millions of reasons why he couldn't pay anyone. That really hurt us. I hate being behind on bills, but when the management refuses to pay any employee, then the scare factor applies. The restaurant has a new owner. He says that all will be taken care of. I really hope that he can do it. To my way of thinking, everyone connected to the place is really placing his/her trust in the new owner. IF it doesn't work out, then there will be a lot of people really angry and hurt.
Today I pulled dead flowers from my flower garden. It had to be done, but was really gross. The stems were moldy and slippery. Its from all the frost we've been having. Now there is just a bit more to pull from the gardens. I'm waiting till Chris is off again to help me finish the outside work.
Well I think that's it for today's new....
Till Later...
